In my opinion, the article says that cultural appropriation is a bad thing, because a lot of times it is hidden in movies, books, songs and even on our daily life, not respecting the culture, just using it. That’s why it doesn’t really matter for most people. For example, a movie that talks about the Indian culture but only shows American people wearing Indian clothes e expressing wrong ideas about India. From the moment people try to valorize a culture and modify some stuff, even if it’s something small, they’re not valorizing it anymore. Like the article says: “cultural appropriation can be defined as the non recognized or inappropriate adoption of ideas, practices, costumes, etc of a groups of people.” I think art, when affirming false informations about a culture creates controversy about it, and because of that people should learn more about something before talking about it.
